Two California State University campuses, Fresno and San Bernardino, are hiring for tenure-track economics positions. Both universities’ economics departments are pluralistic and institutionalist-friendly and may be of interest to AFEE members (or members’ advisees) on the job market this year.

Job description:
The Economics Department of California State University, Fresno invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor, expected to start in Fall 2022. The Department is committed to economic pluralism and welcomes applicants from all economic perspectives to join a community of diverse students and faculty that supports economic development in Central California and beyond. CSU San Bernardino:
The Economics Department at CSUSB seeks to fill a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level starting in August 2022. The position would involve teaching and research in economics, as well as service duties to the Department, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and University overall. The position involves teaching economics courses, engaging in research, and performing service to the Department, College, and University. Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff and students across a wide range of disciplines. The Economics Department at CSUSB seeks applicants with research and teaching interests in heterodox economics, political economy, or environmental economics. A concern with issues associated with Latin America would be a plus, but it is not a requirement for the position.
